The Satkona (or Shatkona) – the symbol of this website – is an ancient symbol used in many civilisations as a sign of a raised consciousness. In this article, we examine how this symbol is used in Buddhism and Hinduism, at an ancient temple in Sri Lanka, We understand Satkona (or Shatkona) as a symbol of the divine union of masculine and feminine and as source of all creation.
